Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

I use the desktop version. Using /undo currently deletes the conversation history. I know many people don't like keeping chat history, but I feel that some users, myself included, would like to retain the conversation while undoing code changes. I hope you can add an option that allows undoing code without deleting the chat history.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #8098: "i input /undo just undo conversation,not file" - discusses how /undo affects conversation history
  • #4704: "/undo and /timeline undo does not revert file edits" - relates to /undo command behavior with file and conversation state

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

I previously used Kilocode in VS Code, and I personally really liked their Checkpoint feature.
