This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #7918: Crash when local.agent.current() returns undefined during startup/auth (ROOT CAUSE analysis provided)
  • #7550: opentui: TUI crashes after successful native OpenAI account connection
  • #9533: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')
  • #9572: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')
  • #9558: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')
  • #9405: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')
  • #9393: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')
  • #9332: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')
  • #9244: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')
  • #9222: opentui: fatal: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'local.agent.current().name')

These are all reports of the same error occurring during /connect with API key input. Issue #7918 contains root cause analysis: the code in prompt/index.tsx accesses .name on potentially undefined agent objects without null checking.

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.
