yeah, we need to support local models, will get to this soon; it's tough bc i think we need some other features to make those models worth using at all, like configuring ad-hoc agents-as-tools for specific tasks. in reality, there are only a very few models that are effective in the primary agent role.

What about support for other non-local model providers. Basically, I have an OpenAI-compatible model provider I would like to use, and all I need is support for specifying the baseUrl and the API key. Would that be something you are willing to add?

yeah, the plan is for opencode to support any provider out there; discussing with dax some higher level decision points and will have more to share soon
