Question

I created a .opencode folder in the project directory and then created a skills folder inside it.
After launching opencode, when I typed /model, the two default free models minimax-2.1 and glm4.7—no longer appeared.
I deleted all files related to “opencode” on the machine and reinstalled opencode, but the issue still persists.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #10243: Exact duplicate with identical description and symptoms - same user reporting default models (minimax-2.1 and glm4.7) disappearing after creating .opencode folder with skills folder
  • #8054: Related issue about skill discovery where the skill path detection was not working correctly for .opencode directory
  • #9044: Related issue about skill directory naming convention (skill vs skills)
  • #9621: Related issue where skills were not loading from .opencode/skills or .opencode/skill directories

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

It's because those two models are no longer free.

The free period for Minimax-2.1 and GLM 4.7 has ended, they are available in pay-as-you-go in Zen.
