Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

Will you guys be closely following the new features from claude code? Like today they released tasks, which is a much needed abstraction over todos. Are we going to be seeing this or a version of this in opencode?

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #9714: Background Tasks Manager - This is a comprehensive feature request that proposes a task management system with background process handling, task persistence, and a UI modal for managing running tasks.

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.
