My opencode tells me this might be the problem:

Research Complete: Missing Cerebras in opencode models Output
Root Cause Identified ✅
Cerebras is deliberately hidden from the opencode models output because it has autoload: false in the CUSTOM_LOADERS configuration.
How opencode models Works

  1. Data Source: The command fetches available models from https://models.dev/api.json (via ModelsDev provider)
  2. Filtering Logic (in /packages/opencode/src/provider/provider.ts):
    • The Provider.list() function calls state() which builds the provider database
    • Each provider goes through a CUSTOM_LOADERS check
    • Key condition: A provider is only included if result.autoload === true OR the provider is already explicitly in the config
    • The code: if (result && (result.autoload || providers[providerID]))
      Why Cerebras is Missing
      The CUSTOM_LOADERS for cerebras in provider.ts lines ~360-370:

  • ✅ Cerebras IS in models.dev

  • ❌ But autoload: false causes it to be filtered out UNLESS explicitly added to config
    Comparison with Other Providers
    Providers that DO appear in opencode models have autoload: true:
  • amazon-bedrock: autoload: true (when AWS credentials detected)
  • google-vertex: autoload: true (when GCP_PROJECT env var set)
    Providers that DON'T appear have autoload: false:
  • cerebras: autoload: false
  • openai: autoload: false
  • openrouter: autoload: false
  • azure: autoload: false
    Why This Design?
    This is intentional filtering, not a bug:
  • Providers with autoload: false require explicit API keys or configuration
  • They're only shown in the models list if explicitly enabled in opencode.json
  • This reduces clutter for users who don't have credentials for every provider
    Solution Options
    To show Cerebras models, you need to explicitly add it to your config:
    Edit /Users/janni/.config/opencode/opencode.work.json:
