I tried all the troubleshooting: I have code command installed, tried to run form VS Code shell, and specifically selecting the shell to be bash and zsh, yet plugin is never installed.

To install manually,

Search for OpenCode in the Extension Marketplace and click Install.

but there's no OpenCode plugin, there's like 20 plugins with Opencode in the name and one of them is called lowercase opencode, by "SST", and I don't see SST mentioned anywhere here.

Why not provide link to the plugin? It's not like plugin URL may change.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #10119: VSCode extension "OpenCode Beta" - "There is no data provider registered that can provide view data." (installation/discovery issue with the correct extension)
  • #9960: vscode extension of opencode (general VSCode extension problems)
  • #10343: Misleading Tip about location of custom-tools (documentation clarity issues)

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.
