Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

Including OpenAI ChatGPT Plus/Pro Subscriptions through OAuth is a great feature. Can it be also extended to GitHub background agents? As far as I understand, now you still need to supply it with an API key in the configuration yaml.

What if we can connect our OpenAI ChatGPT subscriptions in the OpenCode GitHub app configuration page and it would be available across any orgs/repos we give it access to without further specifying any API keys, just a compatible model?

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #10421: OAuth Device Code flow for ChatGPT / Codex plans - requests OAuth integration for ChatGPT subscriptions, similar to your GitHub app integration request

Feel free to ignore if this doesn't address your specific case.

Not sure if this is applicable for when using OpenCode through GitHub integration? It just looks like it's still CLI but for situations where there is no GUI or ability to open the browser on the same machine.

On GitHub interaction config, I couldn't find a way to authenticate using my existing Plus subscription. The only way is to pay for direct API tokens and set the API key through secrets into the .yaml file.
