Description

I am on MacOS and I have v 1.1.40 installed through npm.
In my project, Write tool is continously getting aborted. This same issue used to happen when I started the project and then later the issue was somehow resolved without me making any changes.
However, now the write tool gets aborted continously.
I am using GitHub copilot as provider and Sonnet 4.5 as the model.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #11009: Unable to use GitHub Copilot with Claude models - directly related provider integration issue
  • #6281: Write tool JSON parsing failed with GitHub Copilot and Claude Opus - same write tool abort pattern with GitHub Copilot provider
  • #10967: Write tool JSON parsing error on macOS with Kimi K2.5 - same write tool abort pattern on macOS
  • #268: Write tool "request was aborted" error - historical duplicate of same abort symptom
  • #8312: Session corrupted when tool execution is aborted - explains cascading failures from tool aborts

The common pattern suggests this may be related to the GitHub Copilot provider's handling of Claude models or the Write tool's JSON parsing when used with certain providers on macOS.

Feel free to ignore if your specific case differs from these issues.

I'm seeing the exact same issue on Ubuntu Linux using Copilot and Claude Opus 4.5. OpenCode v1.1.39 and v1.1.40

Same as @KerseyFabrications . In my case, Claude Opus failed, then I changed to Claude Sonnet 4.5 and it could call the tool, but it failed on the next one.

After this, I tried with gpt-5.2-codex and it works.
