Describe the enhancement you want to request

I've tried searching for this but can't find it but I apologize if I'm being a dunce and just looking past it. I often write long prompts awaiting something to be finished or change my mind and want to do something else first. Cntrl - c wipes the input and then I type away. but then I'd like to revisit that old prompt immediately after. I'd be nice if cntrl-c still added the prompt to the prompt history so I can arrow key nav back up to it
