Describe the enhancement you want to request

MCP supports progress messages https://modelcontextprotocol.io/specification/2025-03-26/basic/utilities/progress. Separate from the ui in #2101 It would be nice to get these notifications through the SDK/server.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
