Description

Claude models are not working with GitHub Copilot providers. And I faced this issue only on OpenCode. They are working on other platforms which use the API, since I am using them in Zed (code editor) and in OpenClaw.

Also tested other models like OpenAI's gpt-5.2 and it worked just fine. So the issue essentially seems to be around Anthropic models.

Plugins

"opencode-antigravity-auth@latest", "oh-my-opencode", "opencode-openai-codex-auth"

OpenCode version

1.1.40

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to https://github.com/settings/copilot/features and make sure the Anthropic models (such as Claude Sonnet 4.5 and Opus 4.5) are enabled
  2. In OpenCode select Github Copilot and connect the provider
  3. Select any of the two mentioned anthropic models and chat

With Opus:

Same with sonnet:

But working with non-claude models:

Operating System

macOS Tahoe 26.2 (25C56) arm64
