Description

Image

During system maintenance, I found that log files generated by opencode are consuming a very large amount of disk space. For example, a single log file (2026-02-10T035006.log) takes up 74.8 GB, and the total size of logs under .local/share/opencode/log/ exceeds 100 GB. This can quickly fill up the disk and impact system performance, especially on systems with limited storage.

Environment:

OS: Windows 11

Project version: Latest opencode

Log path: AppData/Local/opencode/log/

This issue doesn't fully meet our contributing guidelines.

What needs to be fixed:

  • The Bug Report template has required fields with placeholder text (Steps to reproduce, Operating System, Terminal, OpenCode version) - please fill these in with actual information
  • While you provided useful context in the Description, the specific reproduction steps and system information should be in their respective template fields for proper tracking

Please edit this issue to address the above within 2 hours, or it will be automatically closed.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #8096: 60GB storage issue on Windows with similar massive log file consumption
  • #5004: Excessive logging causing log file clutter
  • #10532: General OpenCode storage bloat (20 GB)

If you believe this was flagged incorrectly, please let a maintainer know.
