Hello

TL;DR: I use and love opencode and I want to contribute Rust code and am looking for meaningful ways to get involved. Would you know issues that require Rust and I could take?

I use opencode extensively and have deployed it within my company for assisted web design. I’m also planning to make it the primary tool for vibe coding in my open-source project, Silex: https://github.com/silexlabs/Silex.

I’m a fullstack TypeScript developer who also works with Rust and wants to deepen my Rust experience. That got me thinking about how I could contribute to opencode. I’m fairly comfortable with Tauri as well. Ideally, I’d like my contributions to involve Rust in a meaningful way, not be limited to JavaScript-only work.

If there are areas where Rust or Tauri knowledge would be especially useful, I’d love some pointers on where to start or what kinds of contributions would be most valuable.

@lexoyo, In my usage, I felt opencode desktop to be bit laggy especially scrolling chat conversations compared to same in opencode web. Siince you said, you have knowledge of tauri, rust, and typescript, you seem to be perfect match for desktop related issues as opencode desktop app is basically tauri wrapper for opencode web.

So if you can filter issues based desktop/web or just daily drive opencode desktop and try to improve overall desktop experience in any way would be lot useful and grateful.
