Description

After updating from 1.1.53 to 1.1.54, no "What's new" popups were shown, despite that option being checked in Settings -> General -> Updates.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Ensure "What's new popups" is checked
  2. Wait for an update
  3. Click "Install and restart"
