This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #10535: Similar prompt corruption (ppppppp) appearing on startup with freeze (Chinese issue, likely same root cause)
  • #13067: OpenCode wordmark corrupts to OPONCOO in height-constrained terminal (similar display corruption pattern)
  • #12945: Console panel appears on startup and blocks TUI interface on Windows (Windows 10 startup issue)

If you're experiencing a different issue than these, please clarify in the description what text/symbols are appearing in the prompt area shown in your screenshot.

opencode troubleshooting tried deleting everything, uninstall/reinstall, restart., still same err. I think v1.1.53 or lower broke it.

Version: 1.1.56(actual)

Error: Failed to spawn OpenCode Server. Logs:
