I tried using Codex 5.3 on Copilot plugin, but it says the model is not supported

  1. Select Coex 5.3 on the models menu from GitHub Copilot
  2. Ask any message

How do you get it to list at all? I can use it in copilot-cli and vscode-copilot, but it's not showing up in the model list of Opencode (even on a different system with a completely new opencode installation).

did they remove it?

Yeah It's not supported in opencode yet, it hasn't been fully rolled out.

It should roll out soon.

You may ask well I can use it in github copilot cli but not opencode why is that?

This is because WE have a separate client id than the official copilot cli, so they havent rolled it out to all clients quite yet.
