Description

OpenCode was working perfectly on my system; I had no problems until, for some reason, the IDE froze while I was developing an Electron module. Since then, I've followed all the suggestions to resolve the problem, but I can't. The system throws a server error. I've reinstalled the application thinking it was a version compatibility issue or a poorly received update. I've even reverted to older versions, but nothing works. OpenCode keeps giving the same error and won't start. The error message says, "Local server won't start. Check VPN or Proxy." I have no restrictions, I don't use a VPN or a proxy, there are no blocks of any kind, and Windows Defender isn't involved either because I turn it off to reinstall it, and it doesn't work. Could you perhaps review my case and provide a solution?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install desktop opencode app.
  2. in every possible instance, I have tried every possibility
  3. click in desktop icon, cmd , powershell.
  4. OpenCode no pudo iniciarse
No se pudo iniciar el servidor local de OpenCode. Reinicia la aplicación o revisa tu configuración de red (VPN/proxy) y vuelve a intentarlo.
5 I've cleaned caches, followed countless tutorials and suggestions, and even performed multiple installations with AI, from new to old versions, and it's always the same result.

This issue might be a duplicate of an existing issue. Please check:

  • #12418: "OpenCode no pudo iniciarse..." - Same error message about local server failing to start with VPN/proxy check message

You may also want to review #12055 for similar server startup issues on Windows.

If your issue is different from these, please provide additional context about what distinguishes your case.
