Is there a way to make onboarding a little more straight-forward.

E.g. if users need to authenticate, then guide them through authentication process like this:

  • opencode
  • "Simulated question asked..."
  • user has zero models authenticated

in this case, opencode can do one of two things:

  • APIError <- this is what users typically see, not helpful

  • Instead, you can:

    • You are not logged into any model, type /authenticate to login

In the case where users are asked to login, you can guide them to the:

  • opencode auth login

screen.

hm if you have zero models configured (as reported by opencode auth list) it is supposed to show you an initial onboarding flow
