The release now builds a chunked update from the signed Windows portable zip, the same bytes the installer lays down. The output is a zstd-packed Index (731 KB for v2.19.0, down from 1.6 MB) signed with the release's minisign key, and the chunks it names. The delta stays out of dist, which is what gets counted and published as the release's artifacts. The mirror step syncs chunks into one shared store, studio/chunks/<sha256>.zst. Chunks are named by content and immutable, so --size-only skips every chunk an earlier release already uploaded. They go up before the tag's delta index, and both before the catalog, so no client ever sees an index whose chunks are not there yet. latest.json gains deltas: per platform, the index as an Asset (URL, signature, size, SHA-256) on the mirror, plus the chunk store's base URL. Older clients decode manifests leniently and ignore it. A release without mirror credentials offers no delta, since nothing would be uploaded for it. studio-delta build now writes <delta-dir>/<platform>/index.json.zst, with the chunks in <delta-dir>/chunks. simulate reads that layout, and on v2.18.1 -> v2.19.0 still fetches 21.9 MB and verifies the staged tree.
