# Reverse Engineering Atlas

> Independent, tool-agnostic catalog of reverse-engineering projects, tools and agent workflows: game decompilation/recompilation, application reimplementation, Android and JavaScript analysis, protocols, firmware, security evaluation and supporting tools. REA is one optional relationship tag, not the scope or a requirement for inclusion. Public visibility is not a license or an endorsement.

## Start here
- [README (English)](README.md)
- [简体中文](README.zh-CN.md) · [繁體中文](README.zh-TW.md) · [日本語](README.ja.md) · [한국어](README.ko.md)
- [Skill technology map](SKILL_MAP.md) · [中文技术地图](SKILL_MAP.zh-CN.md): ten workflow entry points, related projects, official documentation, licensing caveats and capability limits.

## Data
- [Catalog entries](data.json): rows of `[section, subsection, name, url, uses_rea, note]`.
- [Display summaries](descriptions.json): project-name keys with five language values.
- [Skill mappings and evidence](skill-map.json): editorial technique relationships, review dates, source links, license and maintenance caveats. A technical relationship does not imply an upstream dependency.
- [Image references](images.json) and [star-count snapshot](stars.json): separate display metadata, not live quality rankings.
- [Contributing](CONTRIBUTING.md): edit source data, then run `python render.py` and `python validate.py`.

## Scope and verification
- Analyze only owned or explicitly authorized targets and data. Cracks, DRM-bypass projects, pirated binaries and unlicensed game assets are out of scope.
- Skill-map checks are documentation reviews, not installation, execution, security audits or benchmark reproduction. Existing older entries have not all been re-audited.
- This catalog's original contributions are CC0-1.0; upstream code, images, brands and other third-party material retain their own rights.
