After careful review of usage data and product feedback, we've decided to discontinue the instruct and chat models from our API due to consistently low demand.
 
The following models will no longer be supported or updated after January 19th, 2025:
Instruct
llama-3.1-70b-instruct
llama-3.1-8b-instruct
 
Chat
llama-3.1-sonar-small-128k-chat
llama-3.1-sonar-large-128k-chat
 
We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to migrate to our online models - details here. Please contact our support team at api@perplexity.ai if you have any questions.
