The error "Field validation for 'PluginUniqueIdentifiers[0]' failed on the 'plugin_unique_identifier' tag" when installing the GitHub plugin in Dify version 1.1.0 in a self-hosted Docker environment can be resolved by modifying the author field in the manifest.yaml file and the .yaml file under the /provider path to your GitHub ID. Additionally, you may need to adjust your Docker environment settings.

Here are the steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Modify the author field in both the manifest.yaml file in the plugin project and the .yaml file under the /provider path to your GitHub ID. Retype the plugin packaging command and install the new plugin package.

  2. Add or modify the following line in your docker/.env file:

    FORCE_VERIFYING_SIGNATURE=false

  3. Restart Docker services using these commands:

    docker compose down
docker compose up -d

Note: Simply using docker compose restart will not properly reload the environment variables. A full stop and start of the services is required [1].
