1. Is this request related to a challenge you're experiencing? Tell me about your story.

I would like to be able to override the search method for a KB by specifying it in KB configuration of the Retrieval node.

It is ok to have a default configuration for a KB, but the search configuration, should be modifiable at search time, and not override the search configuration for the entire KB and affect every other workflow using that KB.

This would allow the creation of a less LLM intensive workflow for cases when I don't need a Rerank Model, or prefer a lighter Vector Search vs. Hybrid Search

2. Additional context or comments

No response

3. Can you help us with this feature?

  • I am interested in contributing to this feature.
