Hi, @XiaoXiaoJiangYun. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the Dify team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale.

Issue Summary:

  • You requested that citations include links to the full document, as only excerpts are currently provided.
  • This enhancement would allow users to access the complete document and highlight relevant sections.
  • Crazywoola asked for examples to better understand your request.

Next Steps:

  • Please let us know if this issue is still relevant to the latest version of the Dify repository by commenting here to keep the discussion open.
  • If there is no further activity, this issue will be automatically closed in 15 days.

Thank you for your understanding and contribution!

just like RAGflow, a link to documents, also if you can add a link that can be open when it's clicked is nice. Because I just want to search the document and read the chunk by my self.

@crazywoola, the user @XiaoXiaoJiangYun has provided additional context regarding their request for citations to include links to full documents, similar to RAGflow. Could you please assist them with this issue?

I would like to know the specific context of this. For security reasons, many files are not allowed to be downloaded in accordance with internal company regulations. Can you explain why you need this feature, rather than other reasons that we must have?

Because recall the chunk is not my target, sometimes, just like a design document, define a NPC_NAME as a variable in whole document, but explain the NPC_NAME at the end of the document.
If I can't link to the document and read the file, agent will just tell me the variable but I don't know what is the variable mean.

This is a bit of a hacky workaround, but I've released the Add File URL to Citations tool in my Knowledge Toolbox plugin: https://marketplace.dify.ai/plugins/kurokobo/knowledge_toolbox

With this tool, we can add download links in various formats for the files cited in the answer node:
