The basePath in web/utils/var.ts does not automatically read from environment variables. Even if you set the NEXT_PUBLIC_BASE_PATH build argument when building your Docker image, you still need to manually update both web/utils/var.ts and web/utils/var-basePath.js to match your desired subpath (for example, set export const basePath = '/your-subpath'). The build argument alone does not update these files for you—manual editing is required before building the Docker image. This is the current expected workflow for configuring the frontend base path in Dify v1.8.0 self-hosted setups [source].

If you want to avoid routing issues, make sure the base path is set in only one place (either in Next.js config or your reverse proxy, but not both), and use absolute paths in your frontend code to prevent double application of the base path [source].
