In the previous version, the knowledge base supported custom tags, but it seems that this feature has been disabled in the current version. I really need this functionality. Thank you.

Custom tags are still fully supported in the Dify knowledge base backend—API endpoints and services for creating, updating, deleting, and binding tags to datasets remain available and unchanged [source]. However, recent frontend changes have affected how (or if) you can manage custom tags in the UI. The latest UI does not expose tag management for knowledge base entities; tag-related components now only appear at the document or segment level, not for datasets themselves.

There was a recent improvement to the TagSelector UI, making tag management more accessible and visible for users—including on mobile devices [source]. If you don't see custom tag options in the knowledge base UI, you can still use the backend API to manage tags directly.

If you want to help restore or improve UI support for custom tags, contributing to the frontend codebase would be the way to go. Let me know if you need guidance on using the API or want pointers for where to start in the frontend!
