The error means the plugin daemon is rejecting the marketplace package because the difypkg file is invalid—usually due to malformed metadata, missing required fields, or a version format issue in the package manifest. The backend validates these files strictly, and any schema mismatch or corrupted package will trigger this error.

Recent changes to the marketplace API (like requiring the X-Dify-Version header for compatibility control) could also affect installation if the client and server versions are mismatched or if the header is missing during requests (details).

This issue is not widely reported, so it may be specific to certain packages or environments. If you have access to logs, check for more details about the failed installation. If possible, try installing a different marketplace tool to see if the error is consistent. If the problem persists across all tools, it may be a platform-side bug or a recent compatibility change.

If you have a specific difypkg file, you can check its manifest for required fields like version, author, and category, and ensure all values match the expected formats. Otherwise, you may need to wait for a fix or update from the Dify team if this is a broader marketplace issue.
