1. Is this request related to a challenge you're experiencing? Tell me about your story.

The only reply a webhook trigger receives is a fixed text set in the start node.

It would be nice to handle the response using a node and be able to choose to return instantly or return something in response.
It's also impossible to run any kind of logic or bing a variable in the response being it a simple text editor.

The output node does nothing with webhook triggers

2. Additional context or comments

No response

3. Can you help us with this feature?

  • I am interested in contributing to this feature.

Hi, @DavideDelbianco. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the Dify team manage their backlog and am marking this issue as stale.

Issue Summary:

  • You requested enhanced functionality for the Webhook node to support dynamic responses generated by other nodes rather than static text.
  • The current limitation is that webhook responses cannot execute logic or bind variables.
  • Additionally, the output node does not process webhook triggers.
  • There has been no further activity or comments on this issue since it was opened.
  • The issue remains unresolved.

Next Steps:

  • Please let me know if this issue is still relevant with the latest version of Dify by commenting here.
  • If I do not hear back within 15 days, this issue will be automatically closed.

Thank you for your understanding and contribution!
