This is a known limitation in Dify (including 1.1.4 and newer): the workflow UI only allows fixed values for time-type custom metadata filters, not variables. This is due to how the UI is implemented—variable selection is supported for string, number, and select types, but not for time types, which only render a date picker for fixed values. There are no workarounds or configuration options to enable variable selection for time-type filters, and refreshing or clearing cache will not resolve it. This limitation is confirmed by both the codebase and multiple GitHub issues and is not considered a bug but a missing feature at this time.
