The Summary Index feature (including model and prompt configuration) is implemented in the backend and the UI codebase, but as of v1.12.0, these configuration options are not exposed in the Dify Cloud interface. The UI components for configuring Summary Index are present but are only enabled in the community build, not in the Cloud/Enterprise deployment—so the configuration page is effectively hidden or unused in Cloud right now, despite what the release notes announced (source, source). There are no documented workarounds or admin toggles to enable this in Cloud at this time.

If you want to track progress or signal demand for this feature in Cloud, you can follow or upvote the existing issue #1542.
