Description

Follow the issues: Close #10475

Implemented basic authentication after deploying with Docker Compose.

Follow env vars have been added to the env template file docker/.env.example to do this target.

  • NGINX_CHATBOT_BASIC_AUTH_ENABLED
  • NGINX_CHATBOT_BASIC_AUTH_USER
  • NGINX_CHATBOT_BASIC_AUTH_PASSWORD

There ara some facts:

  • In China, for the first time, the NGINX server may be slow to install the necessary tool htpasswd before it works fine.

Type of Change

  • Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
  • New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
  • Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to not work as expected)
  • This change requires a documentation update, included: Dify Document
  • Improvement, including but not limited to code refactoring, performance optimization, and UI/UX improvement
  • Dependency upgrade

Testing Instructions

Please describe the tests that you ran to verify your changes. Provide instructions so we can reproduce. Please also list any relevant details for your test configuration

  • NGINX_CHATBOT_BASIC_AUTH_ENABLED=false

    • the services will be up
    • the basic auth password file /etc/nginx/conf.d/.htpasswd haven't been created.
    • in the nginx config file /etc/nginx/conf.d/default.conf, chatbot's config haven't been added.
    • when we open the chatbot web page, the basic auth haven't been required.

  • NGINX_CHATBOT_BASIC_AUTH_ENABLED=true

    • the services will be up
    • the basic auth password file /etc/nginx/conf.d/.htpasswd have been created.
    • in the nginx config file /etc/nginx/conf.d/default.conf, chatbot's config have been added.
