Original Pull Request: https://github.com/langgenius/dify/pull/12644

State: closed
Merged: No

Summary

Currently, the "Document Extractor" fails when processing BIN files.
This pull request addresses that issue by enabling support for BIN files.
Since .bin files can contain various types of data, including images and videos etc, the new logic processes the file only if it contains a sufficient amount of displayable text. This ensures that the extractor handles BIN files correctly while avoiding errors with binary data that isn't text-based.
Fixes #12608
