1. Is this request related to a challenge you're experiencing? Tell me about your story.

I'd like to propose a feature to enhance Dify by adding a fully integrated Text-to-Speech (TTS) workflow, specifically designed to make learning materials more accessible, especially for children.

Is this request related to a challenge you are facing?

Yes, I'm facing the challenge of information overload when it comes to learning materials presented in text format, especially for children. Summarizing information is helpful, but presenting it in a friendly, spoken voice would significantly improve engagement and understanding, particularly for kids with reading difficulties. Current TTS support in Dify appears limited, which is a barrier for implementing accessible learning solutions.

What is the feature you'd like to see?

I envision a workflow within Dify that allows users to:

  1. Upload files: Users should be able to upload various file types (documents, images, etc.) as input to a chat.
  2. Intelligent Summarization: A powerful LLM (ideally configurable) will analyze and summarize the content of the uploaded files.
  3. Friendly Tone Adjustment: The summarized text should be passed to another model (or configuration within the summarization model) to rephrase the output in a friendly and age-appropriate tone.
  4. Integrated TTS Output: The final output should be seamlessly converted to speech using a robust and configurable TTS engine directly within Dify. This audio output should be easily accessible to the user, ideally within the chat interface.

How will this feature improve your workflow / experience?

This feature would be a significant time-saver by automating the process of creating accessible learning materials from various sources. More importantly, it has the potential to dramatically increase engagement in learning, especially for children and individuals with reading difficulties. By providing information in an auditory format with a friendly tone, Dify can become a powerful tool for inclusive education and personalized learning experiences.

Additional Context or Comments

The current limitations in TTS support within Dify are a noticeable gap for users wanting to create audio-based applications. Robust and easily configurable TTS integration is crucial for unlocking use cases like accessible learning and beyond. This feature would make Dify more user-friendly for new learners who are exploring the platform for practical applications. Consideration should be given to supporting various TTS engines and voice options for greater flexibility.

Can you help with this feature?

Yes, I am very enthusiastic about contributing to this feature! While my coding skills may be developing, I would be happy to assist with testing, providing feedback throughout the development process, and helping to ensure this feature effectively meets the needs of users focused on accessible learning applications.
