Dify version

0.15.3

Cloud or Self Hosted

Self Hosted (Docker)

Steps to reproduce

Deploying Dify on an intranet (without access to the external network) results in an error when creating an intelligent agent: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."

Upon further inspection of the console, the following message is displayed: "Cross-origin request blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://api.github.com/repos/langenius/dify. (Reason: CORS request did not succeed)."

✔️ Expected Behavior

No response

Actual Behavior

No response

I found a similar open discussion regarding Dify deployment on an intranet without external network access, which encounters an error when creating an agent [1]. Additionally, there is an open issue related to CORS errors after upgrading to Dify version 0.14.0, which might be relevant to your situation [2].

To resolve the CORS error, you should:

  1. Verify that the URLs in your docker-compose.yml file match your actual domains for the following:

    • CONSOLE_API_URL (Console API backend URL)
    • CONSOLE_WEB_URL (Console Web frontend URL)
    • SERVICE_API_URL (Service API URL)
    • APP_API_URL (WebApp API backend URL)
    • APP_WEB_URL (WebApp URL)
  2. Ensure that WEB_API_CORS_ALLOW_ORIGINS and CONSOLE_CORS_ALLOW_ORIGINS are set correctly. While using '*' is suitable for testing, specify exact allowed origins in production for better security.

  3. Check for any network issues or proxy settings that might affect the requests [3].
