The recorder's av_log callback builds each line in a slot of the
calling thread's own, claimed with a compare-and-swap and released once
the line is out, so lines from the encoder threads never splice and no
call waits on another.

The ffmpeg core hands each subtitle track's newest change to the thread
that renders through a one-slot mailbox swapped with a single exchange;
only that thread calls into libass, seeks included. A change supersedes
the one before it, so the held memory stays bounded when nothing
renders. Targets without pointer atomics keep a lock around the swap.

samples/cores/ffmpeg_ass_events checks the hand-off against a libass
stand-in, and samples/record/ffmpeg_pipeline gains a lane for whole log
lines from several threads.
