PlayStation game database
psx_games.inc contains the PlayStation game database. Its initial title,
category, version, and serial metadata came from Redump's Sony PlayStation
serial/version DAT 10974, dated 2026-08-28.

Use PSX_GAME for metadata-only entries and PSX_GAME_COMPAT for entries with
compatibility settings. Metadata-only rows are excluded from the compiled
runtime table.
ROM hacks with a unique boot serial use a catalog-independent
PSX_GAME_COMPAT row after the source catalog. Leave the Redump ID empty,
retain the original release serial metadata, and append (<Hack Name> Hack)
to the complete source title, after its region, revision, edition, and disc
qualifiers. Custom boot serials may use an ASCII letter in the first position
after the four-letter prefix (for example, SCUS-A4182 from
SCUS_A41.82). Use A for that letter: it occupies a slot Sony only ever
filled with a digit, so a single hack serial per source serial cannot collide
with any retail catalogue entry, and the other four digits keep the source
release recognisable. Retail catalog rows remain unchanged and metadata-only unless
they independently require compatibility settings.
Compatibility settings share one settings word and may be combined with |.
PGXP settings modify an active PGXP configuration but do not enable PGXP.
Universal relationships between settings remain in libretro.c.

Controller settings may be combined to describe every supported controller. If the frontend-selected controller is supported, it remains unchanged. If it is unsupported, the core selects the first supported type in the table above. An explicitly disconnected port remains disconnected. With no controller setting, the frontend selection remains unchanged.
