FSO doesn't appear to use this any longer. And even when it was enabled the
requirements made it largely useless anyway. Removing to clean up cfile a
bit and so we don't have to keep maintaining it.
- fix crash bug when path only contains dir separators
- fix error handling when no path is specified in write mode
- clarify function documentation
Fixes#5028
This introduces type parsing for all types used within the scripting
documentation. This improves the generated JSON output and also
validates new code via the unit test.
This adds JSON as an additional scripting documentation output format.
This can be used by external tools to examine the scripting
documentation and generate interface declarations or documentation for
any language. The existing documentation code is left largely in place.
This adds some auto-closing code to the scripting API of the CFile
system. If a file has to be auto-closed then an error will be displayed
to let the the script writer know that something is wrong.
This should not break existing scripts since causing file handle leaks
should never happen and if it does, this will make it easier to find
these issues.
This maintains the type information which can be used for enforce
const-correctness and also for implementing more advanced ways of
handling the type information.
