Should there be a platform for the self-hosted server to securely administer it without having to do everything in the command-line interface (CLI)?

Is there any information on this?

  1. Please remember to tag your issues appropriately, specifically because this isn't a bug or anything, it's a feature request. It should be tagged as enhancement.
  2. I'll be frank, the entire world runs on CLI and docker commands. Stoat is getting massive attention right now for being one of the only discord alternatives that's actually being worked on. So, unless you or someone you can find is actively going to code this, I would imagine it's going to be pretty low priority in front of actual important features such as getting voice and video working.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to be rude, but this isn't reddit. Github issues aren't really a forum for shower thought enhancement requests. At the very least, if you were going to make such an enhancement request, provide more of a direction than "should this maybe exist?" such as features/functionality, justification, mockups, etc.

It's great to see people are interested in Stoat and the FOSS world, so please don't take this as me saying "no, go away." But, in any serious project, github issues are for more formal, detailed requests and bug requests. General discussion would be something for the subreddit (https://old.reddit.com/r/stoatchat) or other socials.

The general interest is good though :)
