Kartikaya Gupta	cf091ea0eb	Bug 1328066 - Don't broadcast the live-resize events to all browser windows unnecessarily. r=mstange ... The machinery for suppressing the displayport during live resizes was using the Observer service. However, in the case of multiple browser windows, this meant that all the open browser windows would have their displayport suppressed if *any* of the browser windows was being resized. This was mostly ok, as the displayport suppression would be turned off once the resize ended. However, the code to kick off a repaint with the unsuppressed displayport would only get triggered on one of the windows (whichever happened to process the unsuppress message last). This patch stops using the Observer service for the implementation machinery, and instead locates the active TabParent of the relevant nsWindow, and invokes the displayport suppression directly on that. This fixes the repainting bug and also avoids unnecessarily broadcasting the suppression/unsuppression notification to windows that don't neccessarily need it. In bug 1331509, mRemoteFrame started getting populated earlier, while the DPI and default scale values remained unpopulated until RecvShow was called. This opened a small window where calling TabChild::GetDPI (and GetDefaultScale) would result in a sync IPC message where previously it would just return -1. This restores the original behaviour and elimintes the perf regression from the sync IPC. The old code would do the content process portion of the open by immediately sending a message back to the content process, but this has some weird issues with nesting and priorities. Instead of doing that, I return the endpoint for the content process back to the original sync call. This requires more code changes, to thread the endpoint along, but it is conceptually simpler. Once I removed the bridges and got it working, I was just able to remove the spawns from the IPDL file and it worked. Markus Stange	b797477463	Bug 1331402 - Update plugins' clipRects when hiding a tab. r=jimm,mattwoodrow ... In non-e10s, all tabs of a window would share one nsRootPresContext. When switching tabs, the tab switch paint would trigger a call to nsRootPresContext::ComputePluginGeometryUpdates, which would call SetEmptyWidgetConfiguration on all registered nsPluginFrames, notably also those inside the tab that was hidden. With e10s, every tab has its own nsRootPresContext, and paints in one tab do not trigger calls to nsRootPresContext::ComputePluginGeometryUpdates on the root pres contexts of other tabs. So when painting the new tab, the registered plugin frames in the old tab were not notified that they were now hidden. This patch now does that in TabChild::MakeHidden. Every new PBrowser, whether it's created by the parent or the child, needs to get a TabGroup assigned to it. That way IPC messages for the PBrowser will be dispatched to that TabGroup. For new PBrowsers created by the child, we just create a new TabGroup or reuse the opener's TabGroup. For PBrowsers created by the parent, the child needs to intercept the PBrowserConstructor message and assign a TabGroup immediately. PBrowsers created by the parent never have an opener so we can always create a new TabGroup. In both cases, the nsGlobalWindow::TabGroupOuter logic needs to be updated to read the TabGroup out of the IPC code. Otherwise the DOM and IPC code will get out of sync about TabGroups. Some of the code has been rewritten in order to phrase things in terms of mozbrowser only, as opposed to mozbrowser or app. In some places, code that was only useful with apps has been completely removed, so that the APIs consumed can also be removed. Michael Layzell	d77310ec7b	Bug 1310771 - Part 2: Emit BrowserWillChangeProcess and BrowserChangedProcess when doing cross-frameloader navigations, r=smaug ... With GroupedSHistory, history navigations may now require the browser to change which frameloader is stored internally from within Core. This patch adds a mechanism to allow for chrome code to respond to these changes and both delay the change, or respond once the change is performed. Delaying the change is accomplished through the BrowserWillChangeProcess event, which is fired when it is determined that a process change will happen for the given browser, but the change has not occured yet. During this time the nsIFrameLoader::AddProcessChangeBlockingPromise method may be called on the target browser's frameloader. Any promises passed to this method will be waited on, and the process change will not occur until they have all been fulfiled. Once that has occured, the process change occurs, and the BrowserChangedProcess event is fired. This is useful for chrome code which needs to flush state from the original process before the change, and then which needs to connect state in the new process with state in the chrome process. We now call NotifyAsyncPanZoomStarted/Stopped precisely on the document which is being transformed, so we no longer need to notify the child docshells which was added in Bug 1088559. Remove the |nsIDocument| argument for ProcessAPZStateChange(), which is not used anymore. mActiveAPZTransforms added in bug 1142926 is removed because AccessibleCaret is the only consumer for AsyncPanZoomStarted/Stopped, and it now defaults to always show while scrolling, i.e. "layout.accessiblecaret.always_show_when_scrolling" defaults to true.
