How are you running AnythingLLM?

AnythingLLM desktop app

What happened?

My laptop is Macbook Air and I'm new to this app. I'm using Deepseek's service and I made sure I've got enough tokens in my account. But every time I try to embed files (mostly PDF files) into my workspace, this same error keeps occurring saying documents failed to add. I read the help docs on your website and it seems like I'm not blocking Huggingface or having faulty folder names, please help me with this issue. I'm not very good at this so bear with me if I can't provide logs or any other information you require efficiently. I want to have detailed, simple directions, my sincere gratitude.

Are there known steps to reproduce?

  1. Are you using the native embedder provider?
  2. Can you check to see in your storage folder if you have a /models/Xenova/all-miniLM-L6 subfolder?

Otherwise, it is something else blocking you
