Description

I have tried many possible combinations of different names etc but cannot come up with something that works. I would love there to be an example so that I would not get confused. I am running Linux, I have a postgresql server called 'postgresql17'. It is at 'localhost' or '127.0.0.1' (no container). It uses port 5432. I created a user 'agent' password 'Ag3nt'. I created a database owned by 'agent' called 'agentdb'. I cannot get an agent to connect to the database and read data from it.

Have you read this on the docs site?
https://docs.anythingllm.com/installation-docker/localhost

Likely is the issue as most people overlook it

Thanks for your reply. I am not using docker. I installed postgresql on
linux using the pacman commands, and anythingllm using the curl -fsSL etc
command on your site.

Tim, I just noticed something that may be significant.
I went back into setting up New SQL Connection
I entered
Connection name: agentdb
Database user: postgres
Database user password: Post1e
Server endpoint: 127.0.0.1
Port: 5432
Database: agentdb
The text at the bottom says:
@.***:5432/agentdb

But on the page you directed me to the example says:
@.***:5432/dbname

Is there a mistake somewhere causing postgresql to be confused with
postgres?

Please let me know. I'd be so happy to know it wasn't me making a mistake.

Best regards, Tom
