f5b72f62c0 Restore comment regarding why Reloc::PIC_ can't be PIC
The original change back in rL29307 explained this but it was
lost somewhere along the way.

4e2b23d011 Add enum values to CodeGenOpt::Level
The absolute values of this enum are important at least in that
they get printed by SelectionDAGISel. e.g:
  `Before: -O2 ; After: -O0`

6b547686c5 Update the file headers across all of the LLVM projects in the monorepo
to reflect the new license.

We understand that people may be surprised that we're moving the header
entirely to discuss the new license. We checked this carefully with the
Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach.

Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM
project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers
include that license only. Some of our contributors have contributed
code under our old license, and accordingly, we have retained a copy of
our old license notice in the top-level files in each project and
repository.

08223c34d4 Replace "no-frame-pointer-*" function attributes with "frame-pointer"
Part of the effort to refactoring frame pointer code generation. We used
to use two function attributes "no-frame-pointer-elim" and
"no-frame-pointer-elim-non-leaf" to represent three kinds of frame
pointer usage: (all) frames use frame pointer, (non-leaf) frames use
frame pointer, (none) frame use frame pointer. This CL makes the idea
explicit by using only one enum function attribute "frame-pointer"

Option "-frame-pointer=" replaces "-disable-fp-elim" for tools such as
llc.

"no-frame-pointer-elim" and "no-frame-pointer-elim-non-leaf" are still
supported for easy migration to "frame-pointer".

tests are mostly updated with

// replace command line args ‘-disable-fp-elim=false’ with ‘-frame-pointer=none’
grep -iIrnl '\-disable-fp-elim=false' * | xargs sed -i '' -e "s/-disable-fp-elim=false/-frame-pointer=none/g"

// replace command line args ‘-disable-fp-elim’ with ‘-frame-pointer=all’
grep -iIrnl '\-disable-fp-elim' * | xargs sed -i '' -e "s/-disable-fp-elim/-frame-pointer=all/g"

3d765ce4b7 [AArch64] Add Tiny Code Model for AArch64
This adds the plumbing for the Tiny code model for the AArch64 backend. This,
instead of loading addresses through the normal ADRP;ADD pair used in the Small
model, uses a single ADR. The 21 bit range of an ADR means that the code and
its statically defined symbols need to be within 1MB of each other.

This makes it mostly interesting for embedded applications where we want to fit
as much as we can in as small a space as possible.

9aafb854cc Delete Default and JITDefault code models
IMHO it is an antipattern to have a enum value that is Default.

At any given piece of code it is not clear if we have to handle
Default or if has already been mapped to a concrete value. In this
case in particular, only the target can do the mapping and it is nice
to make sure it is always done.

This deletes the two default enum values of CodeModel and uses an
explicit Optional<CodeModel> when it is possible that it is
unspecified.

b85d8f463e [ARM] Add support for embedded position-independent code
This patch adds support for some new relocation models to the ARM
backend:

* Read-only position independence (ROPI): Code and read-only data is accessed
PC-relative. The offsets between all code and RO data sections are known at
static link time. This does not affect read-write data.
* Read-write position independence (RWPI): Read-write data is accessed relative
to the static base register (r9). The offsets between all writeable data
sections are known at static link time. This does not affect read-only data.

These two modes are independent (they specify how different objects
should be addressed), so they can be used individually or together. They
are otherwise the same as the "static" relocation model, and are not
compatible with SysV-style PIC using a global offset table.

These modes are normally used by bare-metal systems or systems with
small real-time operating systems. They are designed to avoid the need
for a dynamic linker, the only initialisation required is setting r9 to
an appropriate value for RWPI code.

I have only added support to SelectionDAG, not FastISel, because
FastISel is currently disabled for bare-metal targets where these modes
would be used.

ac8db59598 Delete Reloc::Default.
Having an enum member named Default is quite confusing: Is it distinct
from the others?

This patch removes that member and instead uses Optional<Reloc> in
places where we have a user input that still hasn't been maped to the
default value, which is now clear has no be one of the remaining 3
options.

9b2a3ba3ec Support: Fix incremental build when re-configuring targets
r180893 added an indirect include of llvm/Config/Targets.def to
llvm/Support/CodeGen.h, which in turn is included by things like
llvm/IR/Module.h. After a full build of LLVM and Clang, ninja had to
rebuild 1274 files after reconfiguring.

This commit strips CodeGen.h back down to just a pile of enums and moves
the expensive includes over to CodeGenCWrappers.h (which is only
included in two places). This gets ninja down to 88 files if you
reconfigure with, e.g., -DLLVM_TARGETS_TO_BUILD=X86.

893f22f882 Add Position-independent Code model Module API.
Summary:
This makes PIC levels a Module flag attribute, which can be queried by the
backend. The flag is named `PIC Level`, and can have a value of:

  0 - Backend-default
  1 - Small-model (-fpic)
  2 - Large-model (-fPIC)

These match the `-pic-level' command line argument for clang, and the value of the
preprocessor macro `__PIC__'.

Test Plan:
New flags tests specific for the 'PIC Level' module flag.
Tests to be added as part of a future commit for PowerPC, which will use this new API.

0e1327e4aa This exposes more MCJIT options via the C API:
CodeModel: It's now possible to create an MCJIT instance with any CodeModel you like. Previously it was only possible to
create an MCJIT that used CodeModel::JITDefault.

EnableFastISel: It's now possible to turn on the fast instruction selector.

The CodeModel option required some trickery. The problem is that previously, we were ensuring future binary compatibility in
the MCJITCompilerOptions by mandating that the user bzero's the options struct and passes the sizeof() that he saw; the
bindings then bzero the remaining bits. This works great but assumes that the bitwise zero equivalent of any field is a
sensible default value.

But this is not the case for LLVMCodeModel, or its internal equivalent, llvm::CodeModel::Model. In both of those, the default
for a JIT is CodeModel::JITDefault (or LLVMCodeModelJITDefault), which is not bitwise zero.

Hence this change introduces LLVMInitializeMCJITCompilerOptions(), which will initialize the user's options struct with
defaults. The user will use this in the same way that they would have previously used memset() or bzero(). MCJITCAPITest.cpp
illustrates the change, as does the comment in ExecutionEngine.h.

34797136cb Move the TLSModel information into the TargetMachine rather than hiding
in TargetLowering. There was already a FIXME about this location being
odd. The interface is simplified as a consequence. This will also make
it easier to change TLS models when compiling with PIE.
