The llvm-ar command guide had not been updated in some time, it was missing current functionality and contained information that was out of date. This change: - Updates the use of reStructuredText directives, as seen in other tools command guides. - Updates the command synopsis. - Updates the descriptions of the tool behaviour. - Updates the options section. - Adds details of MRI script functionality. - Removes the sections "Standards" and "File Format" Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D68998 git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@375412 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
The LLVM Compiler Infrastructure ================================ This directory and its subdirectories contain source code for LLVM, a toolkit for the construction of highly optimized compilers, optimizers, and runtime environments. LLVM is open source software. You may freely distribute it under the terms of the license agreement found in LICENSE.txt. Please see the documentation provided in docs/ for further assistance with LLVM, and in particular docs/GettingStarted.rst for getting started with LLVM and docs/README.txt for an overview of LLVM's documentation setup. If you are writing a package for LLVM, see docs/Packaging.rst for our suggestions.
