Currently several places assume the VAL member is always at least the same size as pVal. In particular for a memcpy in the move assignment operator. While this is a true assumption, it isn't good practice to assume this. This patch gives the union a name so we can write the memcpy in terms of the union itself. This also adds a similar memcpy to the move constructor where we previously just copied using VAL directly. This patch is mostly just a mechanical addition of the U in front of VAL and pVAL everywhere. But several constructors had to be modified since we can't directly initializer a field of named union from the initializer list. Low Level Virtual Machine (LLVM) ================================ This directory and its subdirectories contain source code for LLVM, a toolkit for the construction of highly optimized compilers, optimizers, and runtime environments. LLVM is open source software. You may freely distribute it under the terms of the license agreement found in LICENSE.txt. Please see the documentation provided in docs/ for further assistance with LLVM, and in particular docs/GettingStarted.rst for getting started with LLVM and docs/README.txt for an overview of LLVM's documentation setup. If you are writing a package for LLVM, see docs/Packaging.rst for our suggestions.
