Question

You onboarded 1M monthly users in six months, right?

Yet, it's nowhere on the OpenRouter leaderboard for top apps:

Image

Are we sure this is working?

https://github.com/anomalyco/opencode/blob/0d22068c90430e217c9c903a003b22668890207c/packages/opencode/src/provider/provider.ts#L325-L335

This should be how you register an app with OpenRouter.

Yet, there is stuff in the bottom 10 places that most people have never even heard about.

Is OpenCode just too good at not wasting our tokens? 😊

If that's why, it surely feels wrong that their leaderboard for top apps is based on top spend - if anything, these might be some of the worst apps in terms of conserving value. I might reach out to them and suggest they add at least an option to view top apps by number of requests instead - I bet this would surface a very different set of apps, and I can't imagine OpenCode wouldn't be on there. 🤔

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #2844: [Feature request]: set HTTP-Referer header to help openrouter detect App - This directly addresses the root cause of OpenRouter registration mentioned in this issue
  • #5015: [FEATURE]: Terminal Bench 2.0 evaluation - Addresses OpenCode visibility on third-party benchmarking platforms
  • #2104: Submit to Terminal-Bench - Similar concern about OpenCode's leaderboard visibility

The core issue in #2844 about properly setting the HTTP-Referer header appears to be the exact solution you're suggesting for getting OpenCode recognized on the OpenRouter leaderboard.

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

Its here, it is a setting, I think, the apps have to mark public to appear. Judging by the stats it should be top 3-5

I don't think so? According to their docs, you opt-in by sending that header - which OpenCode does.

Judging by the stats it should be top 3-5

It should.

Since OpenCode is listed as an app, it should be showing up.

I think something is not working correctly on their leaderboard? I've posted to ask them here:

If you could, please upvote/comment/retweet so they don't miss the post.

we actually asked them to delist us from the public rankings

a lot of apps run 100% of traffic through openrouter while for us it's a small subset

but companies we were trying to work with used openrouter as a source of truth on popularity so they thought products that were much smaller were bigger than us

you can see the stats here https://openrouter.ai/apps?url=https%3A%2F%2Fopencode.ai

a lot of apps run 100% of traffic through openrouter while for us it's a small subset

but I think that's the same for any app?

Kilo Code uses their own LLM service by default, Copilot uses their own, and so on.

Basically no one uses OpenRouter by default in any app (as far as I'm aware) unless they've elected to do so - the odds of OpenCode users opting for OpenRouter is likely the same as for any app, isn't it?

but companies we were trying to work with used openrouter as a source of truth on popularity so they thought products that were much smaller were bigger than us

that's retarded, who are these amateur companies? 😆

why would anyone expect OpenRouter to answer anything other than "what's popular on OpenRouter" 🤷‍♂️

anyhoo, your app is already bigger than Claude Code (!) so it seems you're just leaving free advertising on the table now? 😄

Same can be said, who would use Cloud Code with openrouter? It’s just a bad indicator

lots of people, apparently? there are tons of articles describing how to do this.
