Jaw 053a2c37d8 feat(macos): navigate editor history with trackpad swipes (#1934)
Closes #1836. AppKit reports page swipes (three-finger NSEventTypeSwipe and two-finger page swipes) outside the web view's key/mouse events, so the desktop shell now forwards them as SwipeLeft / SwipeRight keymap strokes that can be recorded and remapped. Every macOS preset (IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code) binds SwipeRight to Back and SwipeLeft to Forward; two-finger swipes over horizontally scrollable content still scroll, and turning off the system page-swipe gesture disables navigation.

Jaw 352efc02a7 feat(angular): highlight inline templates and auto-close tags (#1897)
Angular component templates in @Component({ template }) were parsed as TypeScript strings, so template highlighting and tag closing never applied. TypeScript files in Angular projects (angular.json or @angular/core) now use an Angular TypeScript mode that mounts the Angular template parser on literal template strings; other strings and non-Angular projects are unchanged. Inline and external templates both close tags on /, with multiple cursors and undo.

Jaw 8ebf839d8e feat(project): rename Autoscroll from Source to Always Select Opened File (#1694)
Following the active editor already worked, but the option kept IDEA's pre-2023 name and sat second under Behavior, so people didn't find it (#1666). It is now Always Select Opened File, listed first, and the header's Select Opened File button hides while it's on. Find Action still matches the old name; the setting key is unchanged.

Jaw daac8e80b0 fix(editor): show usage counts when the project finishes loading at launch (#1809)
Usage counts asked while a language server loads the project come back incomplete and were re-asked only after a busy spell of 1.5 s or more, seen from the editor's own mount. An editor restored at launch mounts while its server starts, so it missed the spell's start, and a short load (vtsls loads a small project in about a second) never counted. Server spells are now followed once from app start, and the spell right after a start counts as loading whatever its length; later short spells are still ignored so request progress (jdtls) doesn't loop. The implementations gutter shares the same settle signal.

Jaw 410761e0f7 fix(lsp): register .vue files and Vue CLI aliases in config-less tsserver projects (#1771)
In a Vue CLI project without jsconfig.json, tsserver only knew the files that
were opened: usage counts said "no usages" for code used from unopened .vue
files, and `@/` imports resolved to nothing, so a mixin imported that way made
the component's whole `this` `any` and Go to Declaration failed in the same file.

The tsserver project registered for config-less trees now also serves Vue
(vtsls of vue.toml), includes the files the Vue tsserver plugin handles, and maps
the webpack aliases that @vue/cli-service resolves (else Vue CLI's `@` -> `src`).
Until vtsls has diagnostics for an open file it answers from its syntax server,
so the server reports loading meanwhile and empty usage counts are asked again.

Jaw ebbda4bb1f fix(window): give a fullscreen project window group its own Space on macOS (#1729)
* fix(window): give a fullscreen project window group its own Space on macOS

A grouped window went fullscreen through simple fullscreen: it covered the current desktop
instead of opening a Space, kept its window frame and rounded corners, and the menu bar stayed
over the tab bar. The selected member now enters native fullscreen as the group's host and the
other members join its Space as borderless auxiliary windows over the host's frame, so switching
projects still only shows one window and hides the others. A project opened over the group joins
it hidden and appears in that Space, without the window-state plugin restoring a fullscreen state
its label kept. Closing the host hands the Space to the next tab once the old one is gone, and a
tab moved to a new window stays fullscreen in a Space of its own.

* fix(window): keep a fullscreen group's frames unsynced on Windows and Linux

fullscreen_host is always None off macOS, so dropping the selected window's own fullscreen check
let a fullscreen group copy its frame to the hidden tabs there, taking fullscreen from the visible one.

Jaw 632a98987f fix(vcs): keep Show History working past Windows' command-line limit (#1808) (#1831)
File history passed one ^<sha>^@ exclusion per created file, and path-filtered
log passed every selected path, as git arguments. A large module blew past
Windows' ~32K command line (os error 206). Pass them through git log --stdin.

Following renames only makes sense for a file: on a directory each created file
cut the history short, leaving a single commit. Directories now use plain path
filtering.

Jaw d984695e79 fix(project-tree): search a file's own symbols, not its package, in Safe Delete and Find Usages (#1688)
Safe Delete and Find Usages on a file searched every top-level outline item, including a Java `package` declaration. References to the package are imports of any class in it, so deleting an unused class reported its siblings' usages as its own.

Packages and namespaces are shared with other files, so their members are searched in their place (Java packages, C++/C#/PHP namespaces). Modules a file declares itself (a TypeScript namespace, a Rust `mod`) are still searched as before.

JawandClaude Opus 5.5 4ca44ee815 feat(editor): highlight log files by level, timestamp and stack frame (#1577)
.log files rendered as plain text: the log language had no ui-mode and CodeMirror ships no log grammar. A lightweight Log stream mode now colours severity levels (upper case anywhere, any case only when marked: [warn], <Info>, level=error), timestamps, exception names, URLs and stack frames, reusing scheme colours; WARN uses the UI warning colour.

JawandClaude Opus 5.5 d1acf9f9ac feat(vcs): replace spaces typed in a branch name with a separator (#1571)
Ref-name inputs only validated after the fact, so a space typed or pasted into a branch name showed "Branch name contains invalid characters" and disabled Create. Branch-name fields (New Branch, from a revision and in several repositories, Rename Branch, New Worktree, GitHub New Remote Branch) now clean the name while typing: forbidden characters are dropped and whitespace becomes '-', without stacking separators, keeping the caret in place. Shared via src/platform/gitRefName.ts and the useSanitizedField hook in src/ui.

JawandClaude Opus 5.5 c179b1a822 fix(markdown): keep the blocks between an HTML container's tags inside it (#1566)
The preview wraps each top-level block in its own data-line element for scroll sync, so an HTML container (<details>, <div align=center>, <section>…) whose close tag came in a later block was closed at the first wrapper and its Markdown content spilled out: <details> couldn't be collapsed and centred README headers weren't centred. Blocks inside an unclosed container now share one wrapper up to its close, and the reader's open/closed state of each <details> survives edits in split mode.

Jaw 324dded5c1 feat(vcs): mark diff and merge changes on the scrollbar (#1519)
The diff and merge viewers had no overview lane, so changes outside the viewport were invisible. The scrollbar now marks every change, coloured by type (modified, inserted, deleted, conflict), in the side-by-side view (both panes), the aligned view (one stripe over the shared scroller), the unified view and the three-way merge editor; clicking a mark jumps to the change. Marks span the lane's width from the first to the last changed line with a 2px minimum. The colours are new --diff-*-stripe theme tokens (Darcula, Light and High-contrast values), mapped from ERROR_STRIPE_COLOR on .icls import and set in the Harbor Night theme template.

Jaw 50986088f9 feat(editor): Copy Reference copies path:line unless the caret is on a declaration's name (#1507)
Copy Reference used the outline symbols enclosing the caret, so anywhere inside a method it copied the method's qualified name and the line was lost. It now names a symbol only with the caret on a declaration's name (its selection range) and copies `path:line` everywhere else, for every language. The `package …;` symbol jdtls reports is no longer qualified, so that line copies `path:1`.

With many outgoing commits the Push dialog grew to the full screen height and its
whole body scrolled besides the changed-files tree, because the body was not a flex

scrolling on its own; Dialog gets a maxHeight that applies until the user resizes.

Jaw 116b1624b3 fix(workbench): narrow the icon-only tool window stripe (#1405)
The icon-only tool window stripes were 44px wide against a 34px bottom frame, and compact mode shrank the status bar but not the stripes. Icon-only stripe buttons now follow a --stripe-icon-button token (28px, 24px in compact mode) with a 4px outer margin, so the side frames are 38px (34px compact). Dragging the stripe edge stops at the same width. The unused --h-stripe-button token is removed; the stripe with names is unchanged.

Jaw c2dd466305 fix(search): search hidden and git-ignored files outside ignored folders (#1318)
Find in Files skipped dotfiles (.eslintrc, .github/workflows/*.yml) and git-ignored files (.env, *.log) because the ide-search walkers dropped every hidden or ignored entry, files as well as folders. A shared walker now lets the ignore rules pick only the folders to enter and lists each walked folder for its files, so ignored folders (target/, logs/) are still skipped while ignored files elsewhere and hidden files are searched, as Go to File does since #1313. Find in Files, Inspect Code / Locate Duplicates (scope_files) and LSP reference candidates (files_with_word) all use it; .git, symlinks, archives, files.exclude and excluded roots still apply.

Jaw 9a9266f61b fix(index): let Go to File find git-ignored files such as .env (#1313)
The index walker used the ignore crate, which drops ignored files before we see them, and the watcher dropped their events too, so git-ignored files such as .env were missing from the index and Go to File, the Files tab and @ mentions could not reach them in any scope. As in IDEA, ignored folders stay out of the project but ignored files stay in it: each walked folder is also listed and the files the walker skipped are indexed by name only (no read, hash or symbols), the ignored flag is stored (index schema 3) so a file whose rules flip is re-parsed or dropped on the next scan, and the watcher reports ignored files in a separate list that only the index and open editors use (Local History, deployment, LSP and fsChanged see the same events as before). Watcher updates classify files by listing their folder with the scan's walker, so nested, global and info/exclude rules apply the same way.

Jaw 057877a39e fix(search): stop outer .gitignore rules at nested repositories in the remaining walkers (#1304)
#1309 made the Find in Files, file scope, index and walk_files walkers require git inside a repository, so an outer repository's .gitignore stops at a nested repository. External TypeScript project discovery (ide-lsp) and Lombok detection (ide-sdk) still walked with require_git(false) and could miss a nested repository's sources the same way; they now use the same check. Adds tests for walk_files (nested repository with its own .gitignore and info/exclude, a plain folder inside the outer repository, the outer repository, a folder outside any repository) and for scope_files.

Jaw b31edc3482 fix(editor): give each file its own find bar, query and caret (#1296)
The find bar belonged to the pane and every bar shared one query, and its effect re-ran the search and moved the caret whenever the active tab changed, so switching files dragged the previous file's search into the next one and lost its caret. Each tab now has its own find bar with its own query and options, as with IDEA's per-editor search session. The last search only pre-fills a newly opened bar (or the selection does) and drives Find Next without a bar; showing a bar again only highlights, and the caret moves only when the query or an option changes in that bar. Bars of closed tabs are dropped.

Jaw d6efea8dac feat(markdown): set the preview font size apart from the UI font (#1045)
The Markdown preview had a fixed 14px body and notebook Markdown cells inherited the UI font size, so enlarging them meant scaling the whole UI. Languages & Frameworks › Markdown › Preview font size (application-level, 8–72, following the editor font size until set) now drives the preview and notebook Markdown cells; fenced code scales with it, and notebook code cells and outputs follow the editor font.

JawandClaude Opus 5.5 07456b2562 fix(editor): show the scrollbar thumb over overview marks (#1031)
The overview lane lies over the vertical scrollbar, so a mark the height of the lane (a new file added to git is one green VCS mark) hid the native thumb completely. The lane now draws the thumb itself, above its marks and without taking the pointer, at the position of the native one (scrollbarThumb, inset by its 2px border); it switches to the hover color while the pointer is on the thumb. The native thumb is made transparent in editors that have the lane, so the two don't add up, and still takes the drag. Editors without the lane (notebook cells, previews) keep the native thumb.

JawandClaude Opus 5.5 a57267fa32 fix(project-tree): reveal files of linked workspace projects (#915) (#1035)
In a workspace the tree's root is the workspace directory, and the linked projects are separate top-level roots outside it. Select Opened File (and other reveals) only looked inside that root and contributed folders, so a file of a linked project was never expanded, selected or scrolled to. Reveal now resolves the innermost linked project containing the path first; the Project Files pane also counts linked projects as shown.

Jaw c599265ced fix(format): re-detect indents after Reformat Code (#957)
After Reformat Code rewrote a file's indents (e.g. spaces to tabs per Code Style), the editor kept the indents detected when the file was opened: tabs rendered at the old width, the status bar showed the old indent, and Enter inserted the old indent, mixing tabs and spaces until the file was reopened.

Whole-file format edits from language servers and contributed formatters are now tagged `format.reformat`, and after such a transaction the document runs the open-time indent detection again and reapplies its settings, so every split picks up the new indent.

Right-clicking a project tab in a merged window group offers Close Other Tabs, Close Tabs to the Left and Close Tabs to the Right (left/right disabled at the ends); the same commands are in the Command Palette and can take shortcuts.

The backend closes the projects one at a time, focusing each so its own unsaved-changes prompt is visible, as Quit does. Jaw ec465964d2 feat(editor): highlight JSP pages (#937)
JSP files had no highlighting and showed a `?` icon; the HTML mode left directives, scriptlets, JSP comments and EL as plain text and flagged `<c:out/>` / `<jsp:include/>` as unclosed elements.

- A JSP grammar layer (comments, directives, scriptlets, expressions, declarations, EL) with HTML and Java overlays, so markup split by JSP elements still nests and braces match across scriptlets.
- EL as its own grammar top: member/index/method calls, namespaced functions, keyword operators, ternaries, lambdas and collection literals.
- Block comments use `<%-- --%>` in markup and `//` in scriptlets; JSP comments and scriptlets fold.
- `.jsp .jspf .jspx .jsph .tag .tagf .tagx` map to the JSP language with a file icon; `gen:jsp-grammar` regenerates the parser and a test checks it matches the grammar.

Jaw 038c23a2c8 feat(vcs): tint test files green in the changes tree (#940)
The changes tree in the Commit and Local Changes views now gives test files a light green background, so test changes stand out from production ones. A file counts as a test when it lies under a test source root (detected or marked by hand) or is named like a test (`*.test.ts`, `*Test.java`, …), the same check the project tree uses; folders under a test root get the tint too. Hover and selection still win.

The colour is a new `--bg-file-tests` token derived from `--success` and `--bg-island`, so every theme gets a matching tint, and it follows test roots as they are marked or unmarked.

ad09a76212 feat(vcs): IntelliJ's diff algorithm and change colouring in the diff viewer (#242)
* feat(vcs): IDEA's diff algorithm and change colouring in the diff viewer

Port IntelliJ's text comparison to TypeScript (src/features/vcs/comparison):
Myers/patience LCS with unique-element discarding, ByLine (smart matching
that skips unimportant lines, chunk optimizer, second-step correction),
ByWord (word chunks, punctuation matching, whitespace policies, line block
splitting) and ComparisonManager's compareLinesInner / processBlocks. The
port runs IntelliJ's own LineComparisonUtilTest, WordComparisonUtilTest and
SplitComparisonUtilTest cases (459 runs), converted to ideaCases.json.

MergeView chunks now come straight from these line fragments, with the
inner word fragments as chunk changes, instead of @codemirror/merge's
presentable diff. Revert and >> / << replace lines as
DiffUtil.applyModification does.

Colour changes as IDEA does: modified (blue), inserted (green) and deleted
(grey) by chunk type, a lighter line background for chunks whose words were
compared, each word fragment in its own type at full line height, a thin
bar for a fragment empty on one side, and the colours carried into the
gutters and the divider bands. New --diff-modified / --diff-inserted /
--diff-deleted theme tokens, imported from .icls DIFF_* attributes.

Add a Playwright suite over a generated git repository of diff cases,
including 10,000-line files, in every viewer mode.

Jaw 4410da60a2 feat(vcs): IDEA-style synchronized scrolling for the side-by-side diff (#181)
The side-by-side diff gets two independent options. Synchronize Scrolling (toolbar lock, also in the settings menu, on by default) scrolls both panes together; Align Changes (settings menu, off by default) pads the panes so changes line up. With Align Changes off, the panes keep their own heights and a divider of curved bands joins each change, with arrows to apply it; scrolling one pane moves the other through the matching change (anchored at a third of the height), including caret moves and the wheel over the divider. Scroll mapping and the divider look up changes by binary search, so large files with thousands of changes scroll smoothly.

Jaw 811da13a76 feat: Syntax-colour Find in Files and Show Usages result lines (#143)
Result lines in the Find in Files popup and tool window and in the Show Usages popup and Usages tool window are coloured like the editor, using the whole file as context, so a line inside a block comment or a multi-line string gets the right colour. The colouring lives in editor/lineTokens and all four lists share it; each file is parsed once and cached, and the parse runs in 8 ms time slices so large files don't block the UI thread. Lines that moved since the search, and files over 500k characters, are coloured on their own.

Jaw 55836e1b49 chore: Format the codebase with oxfmt and check formatting in CI (#135)
Run oxfmt once over the whole repository (formatting only, no logic changes) and add `pnpm format:check` to the frontend CI job so unformatted code no longer builds up. `.oxfmtrc.json` now skips the generated theme docs, test fixtures and code blocks inside Markdown.

Jaw 8ff8f22940 chore: Replace Prettier with oxfmt and ESLint with oxlint (#119)
pnpm lint runs oxlint and pnpm format runs oxfmt: lint ~0.3s instead of ~20s, format check ~0.2s instead of ~11s, with far less memory. Configs come from the official migration tools (.oxlintrc.json from eslint.config.js, .oxfmtrc.json from the Prettier config); six new findings fixed or suppressed in 4 files. No code is reformatted.

Jaw 70f10e741c fix(i18n): Translate the remaining UI text (Git, hierarchy, pull requests, dialogs, aria labels) (#114)
Hard-coded UI text, titles and aria-labels in about 110 components (Git panels, hierarchy, pull requests, dialogs, settings, welcome) now go through tx; spliced fragments became whole sentences (fileCount, noneFoundLabel, hierarchyTitle) and pull request states use keyed messages. 225 zh entries added, stale fragment entries removed.

Also: tx used as a tag without interpolations (tx`No checks`) now looks the text up exactly instead of as a template, so it is translated like tx("No checks"); the text-catalog test checks such tags as plain literals. Check and test counts reuse the existing "{count} passed" / "{failed} failing" entries.

Jaw 6e4d927ff0 chore: Type-check with tsrs (#115)
pnpm typecheck runs tsrs (Rust port of the TypeScript 7 compiler) instead of tsc: ~1.4s instead of ~15s for the four projects, same diagnostics. typescript stays for the editor, typescript-eslint and the build.
