Stop flipped the session back to Run as soon as the direct child exited, but a shell, Maven or the debug adapter can exit while the application it started still holds its port, so the next Run failed with "port already in use". The console also went quiet on a debug Stop because the DAP session was disconnected before java-debug drained the program's output, and closing a window killed running programs with SIGKILL at once.
Run and Debug sessions now stay in a stopping state from the Stop press until the whole process group (or the debuggee's pid tree) is gone. As in IntelliJ IDEA, the first Stop only interrupts and waits, and a second Stop kills; the Stop button turns into Kill process meanwhile. A rerun or restart waits for the old process without a time limit, and the termination time limit setting now only bounds a configuration's stop command. Debug launches record the program pid from the adapter's process/processid event, signal its pid tree and keep the adapter attached until the program exits; closing a project also stops debug sessions under its root. Closing a window with running programs shows a Terminating panel with Kill process and closes once they are gone.

Search Everywhere lists Spring Web endpoints matched by request path (context path tolerated) or handler method name, and Enter opens the handler. The host scans Java/Kotlin sources that name a mapping; http-client parses and indexes them and hands the entries to search through an endpoint contribution, so search does not import http-client. The index is invalidated when a Java/Kotlin file changes.
Route source path assertions compare by path component so they hold on Windows.

Plugin goals came from a built-in table plus the goals bound in <executions>, so a plugin outside the table (maven-checkstyle-plugin) showed only its bound goal. The Plugins section now also reads META-INF/maven/plugin.xml from the plugin jar in the local repository (honouring <localRepository> of the settings file in use), cached per jar, with the table as fallback when the jar is not downloaded yet.

Closing a project only cancelled its agents and notebooks; its window's requests, run processes, terminal shells and debug sessions kept running until app exit, and the language server shutdown was a detached task a closing app could drop (orphaned jdtls). Closing now cancels the window's requests, kills its run processes and shells, stops its debug sessions and waits for the language servers to shut down; other windows are untouched. Terminals are keyed by owner window so they can be closed per window.

jdtls runs on JDK 25, whose ZipFile validates the ZIP64 extra field and rejects jars written by older tools (aspectjweaver 1.8.10: "Invalid CEN header (invalid zip64 extra data field size)"). ECJ then reports the dependency as unreadable, the module gets a build path error and never compiles, and running its main class fails with a missing class. Pass -Djdk.util.zip.disableZip64ExtraFieldValidation=true to jdtls unless the user set the property; set_jvm_property now owns the set-once, user-value-wins rule shared with the proxy properties.

A JVM reads none of HTTP_PROXY/HTTPS_PROXY, so jdtls went direct and a repository that accepts the connection but never answers stalled the Maven import. ProxySettings::jvm_args turns the proxy configuration into JVM system properties (useSystemProxies for Auto, http/https/nonProxyHosts for a manual HTTP proxy, socks* for SOCKS), passed to jdtls as --jvm-arg; a property the user set themselves (matched by exact name) wins. Maven sync keeps Maven's normal snapshot update policy.
