.Net: API Manifest Plugins (#4961)
### Motivation and Context This PR contains main implementation part of #4662 and adds it into `Functions.OpenApi.Extensions` project. There were also couple of bug fixes in the mentioned PR, those will be handled in subsequent PRs. API Manifest can describe capabilities of an AI plugin for a chat-based system among other things. For a full description of API Manifest, see the [API Manifest Specification](https://darrelmiller.github.io/api-manifest/draft-miller-api-manifest.html). API Manifest refers to one or more OpenAPI documents as API dependencies and it selects a subset of operations from those documents to describe the capabilities of an AI plugin. ### Description Semantic Kernel has a way of creating plugins from OpenAPI operations, but it has a couple of limitations that can be addressed with API Manifest: 1. It can only create functions from OpenAPI operations that are described in a single OpenAPI document. 2. It cannot reference multiple OpenAPI documents in a single plugin. Not being able to slice OpenAPI operations is a major limitation, especially for large APIs such as Microsoft Graph, which has over 1000 operations. Today, we can create a Semantic Kernel plugin from an OpenAPI file and one OpenAPI file corresponds to one plugin. We don't have a way of selecting a subset of operations. ```mermaid graph TB subgraph OpenAPI1 operation11 operation12 operation13 end subgraph OpenAPI2 operation21 operation22 operation23 end subgraph OpenAPIPlugin1 function11 function12 function13 end subgraph OpenAPIPlugin2 function21 function22 function23 end operation11 -.- function11 operation12 -.- function12 operation13 -.- function13 operation21 -.- function21 operation22 -.- function22 operation23 -.- function23 style OpenAPIPlugin1 fill:blue, color:white style OpenAPIPlugin2 fill:blue, color:white ``` ### Proposed Solution After Semantic Kernel APIManifest support, we will have an APIManifest file, which will be used as a filter on OpenAPI files and it can reference more than one OpenAPI file. The filter can be used as a guide to select only certain operations to be converted into functions. Assume that we want to create a single plugin with `function11` from `OpenAPI1` and `function21` and `function22` from `OpenAPI2`. We want to preserve the one-to-one mapping between the APIManifest and the plugin, e.g. between `ApiManifestX` and `PluginX`: ```mermaid graph TB subgraph OpenAPI1 operation11 operation12 operation13 end subgraph OpenAPI2 operation21 operation22 operation23 end subgraph APIManifestX reference11 reference21 reference22 end subgraph PluginX function11 function21 function22 end reference11 -.- operation11 reference21 -.- operation21 reference22 -.- operation22 function11 -.- reference11 function21 -.- reference21 function22 -.- reference22 style APIManifestX fill:green, color:white style PluginX fill:blue, color:white ``` If we use existing OpenAPI to Plugin public methods after on-the-fly slicing, we can only achieve the following because there is an assumption that a single OpenAPI is converted into a single plugin, which breaks APIManifest to Plugin one-to-one mapping. A single `APIManifestX` file corresponds to two plugins, namely, `PluginX1` and `PluginX2`: ```mermaid graph TB subgraph OpenAPI1 operation11 operation12 operation13 end subgraph OpenAPI2 operation21 operation22 operation23 end subgraph APIManifestX reference11 reference21 reference22 end subgraph OpenAPI1_Sliced operation11_sliced[operation11] end subgraph OpenAPI2_Sliced operation21_sliced[operation21] operation22_sliced[operation22] end subgraph PluginX1 function11 end subgraph PluginX2 function21 function22 end reference11 -.- operation11 reference21 -.- operation21 reference22 -.- operation22 operation11 -.- operation11_sliced -.- function11 operation21 -.- operation21_sliced -.- function21 operation22 -.- operation22_sliced -.- function22 style APIManifestX fill:green, color:white style PluginX1 fill:blue, color:white style PluginX2 fill:blue, color:white ``` To avoid this, the implementation of regular OpenAPI plugin generation and API Manifest plugin generation meets at the function generation level, so reuse starts at `CreateRestApiFunction`. The PR also adds a KernelSyntaxExample for `/me/messages` endpoint of Microsoft Graph. ### Contribution Checklist <!-- Before submitting this PR, please make sure: --> - [x] The code builds clean without any errors or warnings - [x] The PR follows the [SK Contribution Guidelines](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md) and the [pre-submission formatting script](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#development-scripts) raises no violations - [x] All unit tests pass, and I have added new tests where possible - [x] I didn't break anyone 😄 --------- Co-authored-by: SergeyMenshykh <[email protected]> |

.Net: Improved Audio API by adding default setting values (#5026)
### Motivation and Context <!-- Thank you for your contribution to the semantic-kernel repo! Please help reviewers and future users, providing the following information: 1. Why is this change required? 2. What problem does it solve? 3. What scenario does it contribute to? 4. If it fixes an open issue, please link to the issue here. --> Current audio interfaces have optional execution settings parameters in order to be able to use audio API through Kernel in the future, where execution settings are optional. But when using audio services directly, this is not user friendly, because when optional execution settings are not configured, services will throw an error. In case of text-to-audio service, required field is voice. This PR sets default value to `alloy` with the ability to overwrite. For audio-to-text service, required field is filename. This PR sets default value to `file.mp3` with the ability to overwrite. With these changes execution settings are no longer required (they are optional) for text-to-audio and audio-to-text conversion. ### Contribution Checklist <!-- Before submitting this PR, please make sure: --> - [x] The code builds clean without any errors or warnings - [x] The PR follows the [SK Contribution Guidelines](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md) and the [pre-submission formatting script](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#development-scripts) raises no violations - [x] All unit tests pass, and I have added new tests where possible - [x] I didn't break anyone 😄 |

.Net: Configurable Handlebars Planner prompt (#4918)
### Motivation and Context <!-- Thank you for your contribution to the semantic-kernel repo! Please help reviewers and future users, providing the following information: 1. Why is this change required? 2. What problem does it solve? 3. What scenario does it contribute to? 4. If it fixes an open issue, please link to the issue here. --> Addresses issues: - #4067 This PR adds more flexibility to the HandlebarsPlanner by: - Splitting the `CreatePlanPrompt` into well-defined partials. Each partial maps to an essential section within the prompt. - Opening options to provide more context when invoking the planner. Not in scope of this PR: - Option to override CreatePlan prompt completely ### Description <!-- Describe your changes, the overall approach, the underlying design. These notes will help understanding how your code works. Thanks! --> As the `CreatePlan` prompt has been broken down into Partials, users have the ability to override these partials (any or all) to customize the prompt to their needs or add new partials. This can be done by modifying the `CreatePlanPrompt.handlebars` file. New config enables the ability to call the HandlebarsPlanner with: - a set of KernelArguments, which will serve as the initial context for the Handlebars Prompt Template; available during plan creation or execution - additional prompt context: any domain knowledge or specific content that might help the model better fulfill the goal when creating a plan Additional content after the user's goal, with variables shared in the same message as the goal and additional context as its own separate user message. ### Contribution Checklist <!-- Before submitting this PR, please make sure: --> - [x] The code builds clean without any errors or warnings - [x] The PR follows the [SK Contribution Guidelines](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md) and the [pre-submission formatting script](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#development-scripts) raises no violations - [x] All unit tests pass, and I have added new tests where possible - [x] I didn't break anyone 😄 --------- Co-authored-by: Tao Chen <[email protected]>dotnet-1.3.1-nightly-240213.1 |

.Net: Fixed Azure AI Search asynchronous operation execution (#4992)
### Motivation and Context <!-- Thank you for your contribution to the semantic-kernel repo! Please help reviewers and future users, providing the following information: 1. Why is this change required? 2. What problem does it solve? 3. What scenario does it contribute to? 4. If it fixes an open issue, please link to the issue here. --> Resolves: https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/issues/4952 Currently, in Azure AI Search memory store, asynchronous operation (e.g. document search, index creation) is not executed asynchronously. This causes the problems on exception handling. For example, when trying to get record with `GetAsync` method in non-existent index, instead of returning `null`, as expected by memory store logic, it throws `RequestFailedException` that comes from Azure AI Search .NET SDK. In other methods, even in case of `RequestFailedException`, this exception should be translated to `HttpOperationException` as per decision for exception handling in all connectors. ### Description <!-- Describe your changes, the overall approach, the underlying design. These notes will help understanding how your code works. Thanks! --> 1. Added new constructor in `AzureAISearchMemoryStore` that accepts `SearchIndexClient` instance for easier mocking in unit tests. 2. Fixed `RunMemoryStoreOperation` method to execute operations asynchronously. 3. Added overload for `RunMemoryStoreOperation` method to handle `IAsyncEnumerable<T>` response. 4. Added new project for Azure AI Search unit tests - `Connectors.AzureAISearch.UnitTests`. 5. Added unit tests for basic scenarios in `AzureAISearchMemoryStore` including exception handling. ### Contribution Checklist <!-- Before submitting this PR, please make sure: --> - [x] The code builds clean without any errors or warnings - [x] The PR follows the [SK Contribution Guidelines](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md) and the [pre-submission formatting script](https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md#development-scripts) raises no violations - [x] All unit tests pass, and I have added new tests where possible - [x] I didn't break anyone 😄 |

.Net: Fixed usage of chat system prompt (#4994)
### Motivation and Context <!-- Thank you for your contribution to the semantic-kernel repo! Please help reviewers and future users, providing the following information: 1. Why is this change required? 2. What problem does it solve? 3. What scenario does it contribute to? 4. If it fixes an open issue, please link to the issue here. --> Resolves: https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/issues/4377 Resolves: https://github.com/microsoft/semantic-kernel/issues/4510 When invoking prompt or function from kernel, chat system prompt is ignored, and prompt is sent to AI as system message instead of user message. The example of code that didn't work: ```csharp var settings = new OpenAIPromptExecutionSettings { ChatSystemPrompt = "Reply \"I don't know\" to every question." }; // Result contains the right answer instead of "I don't know", as it was defined in system prompt. // That's because the question was set to system message instead of user message and ChatSystemPrompt property was ignored. var result = await target.InvokePromptAsync("Where is the most famous fish market in Seattle, Washington, USA?", new(settings)); ``` This fix may potentially change the behavior of applications that rely on system message input instead of user message. In order to temporarily resolve the problem, previous behavior could be achieved by using chat prompt as in the following example: ```csharp KernelFunction function = KernelFunctionFactory.CreateFromPrompt(@" <message role=""system"">Where is the most famous fish market in Seattle, Washington, USA?</message> "); var result = await kernel.InvokeAsync(function); ``` But this is just a temporary workaround, and valid usage is presented in first example above. ### Description <!-- Describe your changes, the overall approach, the underlying design. These notes will help understanding how your code works. Thanks! --> 1. Updated `ChatCompletionServiceExtensions` to use prompt as user message instead of system message. 2. Added unit and integration tests to verify this scenario.
