Flowise is a drag & drop user interface to build a customized large language model flow. Prior to 3.1.3, executeJavaScriptCode() accepted caller-provided nodeVMOptions and merged them over the default NodeVM security settings in packages/components/src/utils.ts. An authenticated attacker reaching packages/server/src/routes/node-custom-functions/index.ts could run a custom function that imported flowise-components/dist/src/utils.js, called executeJavaScriptCode() again with nodeVMOptions.require.builtin set to allow all built-in modules, and then required child_process to execute arbitrary system commands as root on the Flowise server. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.3.

The Metasploit Framework post module post/apple_ios/gather/ios_image_gather is affected by a relative path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22). The module interpolates file names taken from a Meterpreter directory listing — data fully controlled by a hostile or tampered iOS device — directly into the local destination path passed to client.fs.file.download_file(), with no sanitization. The underlying stdapi sink (lib/rex/post/meterpreter/extensions/stdapi/fs/file.rb) writes to whatever path is supplied, so a listing entry such as ../../msfconsole.rc escapes the intended ~/.msf4/loot/<random> directory and overwrites ~/.msf4/msfconsole.rc, a resource file that every msfconsole invocation automatically executes at startup (lib/msf/ui/console/driver.rb:196). An attacker-controlled device that lures an operator into running this gather module achieves an arbitrary file write as the operator; because the written msfconsole.rc can load a second written file (a Ruby plugin whose top-level code runs on require), this converts into persistent code execution and an interactive shell as the operator (frequently root) on the pentester's workstation at the next console launch. The same traversal was previously fixed upstream in the recursive downloader (stdapi/fs/dir.rb scrubs separators); this module omitted the equivalent scrub. The fix applies the same separator scrub (or File.basename) to listing entries before building the local path.

vm2 is a sandbox for running untrusted Node.js code. In versions >= 3.11.4 and <= 3.11.6, the NodeVM constructor computes `hasRealRequireConfig` with `typeof requireOpts === 'object' && requireOpts !== null`, so an array-shaped `require` value (for example `require: []`) satisfies the guard that is meant to reject nesting without an explicit require configuration. `makeResolverFromLegacyOptions()` then destructures the array into undefined option fields and returns a resolver containing only `NESTING_OVERRIDE.vm2`. As a result, an attacker who can supply JavaScript executed by a NodeVM configured with truthy `nesting` and an array-shaped `require` (e.g. `new NodeVM({nesting: true, require: []})`) can require the host `vm2` module, create an inner NodeVM with an attacker-chosen builtin allowlist (such as `child_process`), and execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the host Node.js process, escaping the sandbox. Outer builtin restrictions do not constrain the attacker-created inner NodeVM. This issue is fixed in vm2 3.11.7.

simple-git, an interface for running git commands in any node.js application, enables applications to execute Git operations from JavaScript. Prior to 4.0.0, the default blockUnsafeOperationsPlugin does not completely reject configuration includes supplied through customArgs to git.clone(). The missing include.path classification permits Git to load an attacker-controlled configuration file, and the initial remediation does not cover includeIf.<condition>.path, allowing the same file-loading primitive through a conditional include. A loaded configuration can set an executable Git option such as core.sshCommand, which Git invokes during the clone operation with the privileges of the Node.js process. Exploitation requires the application to pass attacker-influenced custom arguments and requires an attacker-controlled file that the process can read. This issue is fixed in 4.0.0.

### CVE-2026-106072 (2026-10-23)

A flaw in Node.js TLS hostname verification allows a certificate with only a DNS SAN to authenticate an IP endpoint when the client connects using a non-canonical IPv4 spelling, such as `0177.0.0.1`, `0x7f.0.0.1`, `2130706433` or `127.1`.\n\n`tls.checkServerIdentity()` did not classify these hosts as IP addresses, but normalized them to their canonical form and matched the result against the certificate DNS names. A certificate containing `DNS:127.0.0.1` and no `IP Address:127.0.0.1` SAN was therefore accepted, while the same certificate is correctly rejected for `127.0.0.1`. Exploitation requires a certificate with a numeric DNS SAN issued by a CA trusted by the client, and a platform resolver that accepts these spellings, such as glibc.\n\nThis vulnerability affects Node.js **26.x**, **24.x**, and **22.x**.

### CVE-2026-106073 (2026-10-23)

A flaw in Node.js Permission Model filesystem enforcement leaves `fs.realpathSync()` without the required read permission checks. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2026-21715, which only covered `fs.realpathSync.native()`.\n\nAs a result, code running under `--permission` with restricted `--allow-fs-read` can still use `fs.realpathSync()` to check file existence, resolve symlink targets, and enumerate filesystem paths outside of permitted directories.\n\nThis vulnerability affects Node.js **26.x**, **24.x**, and **22.x**.

### CVE-2026-106074 (2026-10-23)

A flaw in Node.js `crypto` causes the internal entropy caches used by `crypto.randomUUID()`, `crypto.randomUUIDv7()`, and `crypto.randomInt()` to be saved into user-land startup snapshots (`--build-snapshot`) and single executable applications built with `useSnapshot`.\n\nIf any of these functions, or an API that relies on them such as `URL.createObjectURL()`, is called while the snapshot is built, every process started from that snapshot returns the same values until the cache is refilled: up to 127 UUIDs and about 1,000 `randomInt()` values. Identifiers expected to be unique can collide across processes, and values issued by one process can be predicted by observing another.\n\nThis vulnerability affects Node.js **26.x**, **24.x**, and **22.x**.

### CVE-2026-112398 (2026-10-19)

Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 13.0.0, Pillow's FlashPix JPEG-tile decoder can write decoded scanlines beyond the allocated tile buffer. FlashPix (FPX) JPEG decoding selects raw mode LA with two bytes per pixel, while an unrecognized JPEG mode can be decoded as JCS_UNKNOWN with four components, causing ImagingJpegDecode to write four-component scanlines into the two-byte tile buffer. An attacker can supply a crafted OLE2 FlashPix file to an application with the optional olefile dependency installed that opens or thumbnails untrusted input. This can corrupt heap memory and may allow arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.

### CVE-2022-24816 (2022-04-13)

JAI-EXT is an open-source project which aims to extend the Java Advanced Imaging (JAI) API. Programs allowing Jiffle script to be provided via network request can lead to a Remote Code Execution as the Jiffle script is compiled into Java code via Janino, and executed. In particular, this affects the downstream GeoServer project. Version 1.2.22 will contain a patch that disables the ability to inject malicious code into the resulting script. Users unable to upgrade may negate the ability to compile Jiffle scripts from the final application, by removing janino-x.y.z.jar from the classpath.
